Company Details

Bull Ring was an ecommerce brand and store that PRP Seats, my employer, acquired to help improve their sales numbers and add another great product under their already, expansive list of product offerings. The product is a truck bed anchor point, that can blend seamlessly to your truck bed when not in use and can easily be popped up to serve as a tie-down anchor when tying down cargo for transportation.

My Project Responsibilities:

Project Scope

To decrease customer confusion on choosing the correct product model for their specific vehicle. The challenge with this product is that there are many different fits for different vehicles and can even vary amongst different vehicle trims and truck bed sizes. So I was tasked with streamlining the user interaction with the site for a better shopping experience, as well as try to generate product purchase directly from the site, instead of only relying on third party vendors for our sales.

Project Solution

As part of a strong team effort with the rest of the PRP marketing team, the content writer, product manager, as well as the President of both PRP and Bull Ring, we were able to really narrow down our product categories, vehicle model, vehicle year and vehicle bed size to clearly allow for an easier shopping experience to our customers.

After we settled on the category conventions, I took that information, built the product landing pages per each vehicle model, added the four vehicle models that the Bull Ring tie-down anchor were made for and included those model selections, above the fold of the homepage and the user would be able to easily navigate to their desired product for their specific vehicle model. I also expanded the homepage to add a larger search bar on the homepage and to really feature, our choose product by vehicle filter tool, so the customer can really dig down to their exact vehicle specs to get all the truck tie-down anchors compatible with their vehicle. The next step was to take those category conventions and create an Amazon A+ shopping Page for giving the user additional purchasing avenues to get our truck tie-down anchors.

The team effort was such a success, that the owner of the company sent us a holiday email, saying he was able to fully enjoy a good complete holiday dinner with the family since he didn’t get interrupted with product questions about fitment, because the website did a great job clearly listing out the product specifications for our users.
